Merry Christmas

I know this is posting the day after Christmas, but my prayer leading up to that glorious day was that you would all have a wonderful and joy-filled Christmas. Great times with family and friends, delicious food, and fantastic presents. And also time to discover anew the meaning of the season.

Christmas Day is celebrating, once again, the most precious gift God has ever given. His Son, so that we can be brought back into relationship with Him, back into His loving and protective arms, back into His forgiveness and grace and wisdom. We should celebrate this gift every day. But, for me, Christmas is special because it marks the first day, the first step, on Jesus’ journey to bring us into the Kingdom, not only eternally, but also during our time here on earth as well.

I look forward to 2013 with anticipation. God has been so good to me, I can’t wait to see what He does next. I know there will also be times of uncertainty, of trial and testing. The enemy will continue his efforts to derail us from our journey to follow God’s plan. But God is there. And His timing is always perfect. It may be later than I want, but it is always perfect for what He wants to accomplish through me.

My prayer is that we all carry the wonder and joy of Christmas throughout 2013 and that we all walk in the fullness of our dream and His plan.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Henry, what a wonderful adjustment of the lens we look through toward the new year. I am in the midst of processing the lessons I’ve learned through this season. It’s amazing how God meets us at our point of need to bring us to the right conclusion. His perfect way. Thank you for your insight in these waning days of 2012.

Thank you, DiAne. Yes, He is always there. Sometimes He waits until we make the right turn. Other times, He’s right alongside. I like these verses in Psalm 139 (NLT).
v5. You go before me and follow mw. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
v10. Your hand will guide me and your strength will support me.
v16. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
v24. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlastin life.

Thanks, Henry. I love the statement ‘I can’t wait to see what God will do with me next’. A wonderful thing about our God is we can trust Him to do the best for us.

Hope your trip to Florida was wonderful. See you on the 8th.

Heard of thrill seekers? I decided today I’m seeking His thrills because He thrills me. HAPPY NEW YEAR, HENRY.
